BANGOR – Vera M. Waterman, 91, wife of the late Alan H. Waterman, who she married Aug. 5, 1944, died Aug. 13, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Sept. 24, 1918, in Wiggin, England. When Vera was younger she was very involved in Quipus and Savoyards. She loved painting, needlepoint and working in her garden. She was very generous supporting many non-profit organizations. Vera is survived by her son, Neil C. Waterman and his wife, Lesley, of Bangor; a daughter-in-law, Paula Waterman of Haverhill, Mass.; former daughter-in-law, Pamela Waterman of California; seven grandchildren, Michele Waterman, Noelle Waterman and her husband, Dean Baker, Amy and her husband, Todd St. Peter, Kelly and her husband, John Kokoska, Thomas Waterman and his wife, Yvonne, Jeromy Waterman and Rhianna Waterman; and three great-grandchildren, Johnny Kokoska, Alison and Anna St. Peter. She was loved by her three cats, Dusty, Rudy and Speedy. She also enjoyed spending time with Alison Bragg and Carolyn Burke, and we thank them for their special attention. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Alan H. Waterman. A private family burial will be held at Webster Avenue Cemetery, Bangor.
