CALAIS – David Warren Townsend, 24, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010. David was born March 2, 1986, in St. Stephen. He graduated from Woodland High School, Class of 2004, and attended Washington County Community College, majoring in computers. Most recently David was employed as an interviewer with Acrobat Market & Research Co., Calais. He enjoyed computers, playing Xbox games, cooking, online computer games, Sunday poker night at Penny’s house, and spending time with his girlfriend, Danielle York. David was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Mavis Townsend. Surviving are his father, David A. Townsend and his wife, Barbara, of Baileyville; his mother, Vivian Tinker and her husband, Christopher, of Perry; grandparents, Ruth and Mel Greenlaw of Calais, Sarah and Cliff Lounsbury of Micco, Fla., and Fred and Marjorie Curtis of Surry; his girlfriend, Danielle York of Calais; five brothers, Corey Townsend of Calais, Todd Townsend of Perry, Matthew Townsend of Cumberland, John Dana and his wife, Heather, of Baileyville, and John Tinker and his partner, Eugene Roskom, of Princeton; seven sisters, Katrina Dana of Baileyville, Dynesha and Bionca Burke of Baileyville, Sherri Mitchell and husband, Seth, of Indian Island, Angela Tinker of Bangor, Frances Storey and her husband, Robert, of Princeton, and Christi Doten of Calais; a very special nephew, Brayden Dana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Kristen Beaulieu, Vicki Gagner and Kaitlyn Leeman; and many other friends. A celebration of David’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Church of the Living Stone, 55 Broadway, Baileyville. Burial will be afterward at Woodland Cemetery.
