RUMNEY, N.H. – Roger Alvin Winsor passed away peacefully Aug. 18, 2010, at his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1930, one of four children of Leonard and Emma Winsor. He served in the Korean War for three years. On his return he reunited with his sweetheart, June, and they were married in Washington state. Roger worked for Lane Construction, Bangor, until his retirement, when he moved back to his hometown of Rumney, N.H. Roger was an avid clogger, loved working on his property and was very active in his community. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit and entertaining poems. Roger is survived by his wife, June; children, Gary, Darlene and Paula; and three grandchildren. His memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Wentworth Congregational Church, Wentworth, N.H. Donations in Roger’s memory may be made to Rumney Fast Squad or Wentworth Congregational Church. Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
