SCARBOROUGH — Water-fowl enthusiasts will flock to Cabela’s on Saturday, Aug. 28, for the Maine State Duck Call-ing Championship.
Registration for the contest begins at 10 a.m. and quacking contestants will be judged by local waterfowl experts. The event is a sanctioned contest and the winner of the open di-vision will advance to the World Duck Calling Champion-ship in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
Competitors will face off in three divisions: Open, ladies and youth. The registration fees are $10 per adult entry and $5 per youth entry.
In addition, Cabela’s will be offering seminars on a variety of topics during its weekend Fall Great Outdoor Days.
