BANGOR – A 25-year-old transient from Norwell, Mass., apparently got upset on Friday with medical personnel at a Bangor mental health facility on State Street and began throwing punches, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday.
As a result of the altercation, a 55-year-old female employee fell and broke her wrist, he said.
Christopher Rossi, who reportedly also threw a chair during the 10 a.m. incident, was charged with felony aggravated assault and had an outstanding warrant, Edwards said.
He was arrested at the Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center, according to the Penobscot County Jail intake log. If convicted of the aggravated assault charge, Rossi could face up to five years in prison and a penalty of up to $5,000. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
