DEXTER – William “Bill” A. Cuddy Jr., 78, died Aug. 17, 2010, at his home after a brief illness. He was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Harmony, the son of William A. Sr. and Flora B. (Turner) Cuddy. William was educated in Harmony and Skowhegan schools. He worked as a truck driver for the majority of his life in construction and also worked for Baxters Tannery. William enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, music and listening to his grandchildren read. William is survived by his daughter, Linda Robinson and husband, Paul, of Dexter; other children and stepchildren; a brother, Richard “Dick” Cuddy and wife, Carol, of Milton, Fla.; two sisters, Vesta Calder of Wells, and Lillian Blair and husband, William, of Carlsbad, Calif.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very special friend, Ruth Baird of Hartland. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Michael; sisters, Agnes, Alice and Crystal; and brothers, Edwin and Jim. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Evergreen Cemetery, River Road, Solon. At William’s request, there will be no funeral or visitation hours.
