MONTICELLO – Ruby H. Faulkner, 85, died Aug. 25, 2010, at her daughter’s residence. She was born July 27, 1925, in Monticello, the daughter of Leslie and Vera (Foster) Flewelling. Ruby was a member of Lake Road Freewill Baptist Church and worked for 32 years at Aroostook Hospital, then Houlton Regional Hospital until her retirement in 1991. Ruby is survived by two daughters, Carol Smith and her husband, David, of Littleton and Diane Folsom and her husband, Paul “Sonny,” of Houlton; her son, Les Faulkner and his wife, Sandra, of Bridgewater; one brother, Ronald Flewelling and Sherry of Monticello; three sisters, Pearl Flewelling of Monticello, Joanne Nason and her husband, Mark, of Orono and Phyllis Perfitt and her husband, Donald, of Monticello; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Faulkner Jr.; her son, Lawrence Faulkner; and three brothers, Ray, Merle and Russell Flewelling. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Carl DeMerchant officiating. Interment will be at Foster Cemetery.
