MARS HILL – Wilma D. Boyington, 68, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 1, 1941, in Caribou, a daughter of Oran and Mary (Paquin) Holmes Sr. She owned and operated a daycare in Mars Hill for many years. She was a member of United Baptist Church, Mars Hill. Wilma is survived by a son, Jeffrey of Mars Hill; two daughters and their husbands, Lori and Peter Scovil of Presque Isle and Brenda and Wilfred Forbes of Biddeford; five grandchildren, Brian Forbes, Kyrra Mahaney, Nekko Boyington, Noah Boyington and Elizabeth Winslow-Scovil; seven great-grandchildren; five brothers, Oran Jr. of Easton, Dwight of Fryeburg, Doug of Easton, Larry of Westfield and Jarvis of Easton; and five sisters, Mona Cyr of Presque Isle, Evelyn Stickney of Easton, Delores Strout of Presque Isle, Carolyn Longley of Caribou and Ann White of Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Dick” Boyington, in 2009; a brother, Galen Holmes; and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Boyington. A memorial service will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at United Baptist Church, Mars Hill, with Pastor Mitch Ross officiating. Friends may call 11:30 a.m. until time of service. A reception will be held after the service. Interment will be in Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Baptist Church, Mars Hill, P.O.
