LIMESTONE — Mitch Worcester scored two second-half goals as Washburn broke open a tie game en route to a 4-1 boys soccer victory Monday over the Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics.
Mitch Worcester scored two second-half goals for 5-1 Washburn. Jordan McLaughlin also scored in the second half. Kyle Huston scored in the first.
Brandon Nadeau scored 39:23 into the first half off a Nate Tucker assist for the 0-3 Eagles.
Zachary Davis of Washburn turned away 10 of 11 shots while the Eagles’ Chris Bernier and Sean Gagnon combined for 13 saves on 17 shots.

At Hodgdon, twins Janel Rockwell and Jasmine Rockwell scored first-half goals and Jasmine Rockwell assisted on Jillian Diaferio’s second-half goal to lead Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook past Hodgdon.
Katie Goodall had an assist and Mallory Lawlor made two saves on five shots for the 2-0 winners.
Kimberly Levesque made 12 saves on 16 shots for 0-4 Hodgdon.
