WASHBURN – Ivy Berentes, 78, died Sept. 7, 2010, in Mars Hill. She was born Jan. 30, 1932, in Warrington, England, daughter of the late John and Sarah Alice (Houghton) Bibby. Mrs. Berentes is survived by three sons, Joseph Berentes of Presque Isle, Louis Berentes and his wife, Carol, of Westfield and Steve Berentes and his partner, Dale Levasseur, of Willette, Calif.; two daughters, Theresa Levasseur and her husband, Robert, of Presque Isle and Debra Cyr and her husband, Gene, of Washburn; four brothers, William Bibby, Peter and Pat Bibby, Joey and Norma Bibby, and Derek and Beryl Bibby; three sisters, Vera Bibby, Jean Blinston and Iris and Peter Owen; a special sister-in-law, Maureen Bibby all of Warrington, England; her grandchildren, Joe, Athena and Priscilla Berentes, Ranee and Scott Levasseur, Harold Hull and wife, Barbara, Danny Berentes and longtime companion, Sherry Haney, and Lori and Travis Barclay; great-grandsons, Shawn Levasseur, Danny Louis Berentes and Mcquire Hull; great-granddaughter, Cara Ivy Dambowski; many nieces and nephews in England; a very special niece, Maxine Bibby; as well as special friends, Fannie and Cheryl Dionne of Washburn. Mrs. Berentes was predeceased by her husband, Joe Berentes Jr.; and brothers, Johnny Houghton and James Bibby. Private family services will be held at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville.
