HOWLAND, Maine — More than 1,100 Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. customers had power restored to them by noon Wednesday after a power line was knocked out in a motor vehicle accident earlier in the day, company spokeswoman Susan Faloon said.
The 1,104 customers in Howland, Maxfield, Medford and surrounding towns lost electricity when a vehicle went into a pole on Pleasant Street in Howland, Faloon said.
The accident occurred at about 9 a.m., she said.
A utility crew started repairing the line shortly after the accident was reported, she said.
