GARDINER – Nadine J. Longley passed away unexpectedly Sept. 2, 2010, at home. She was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Caribou, the daughter of Mildred R. and Richard S. Hitchcock. Nadine was a graduate of Caribou High School, Class of 1957, and the University of Maine, Augusta, in 1985. She married Gerald C. Longley, Feb. 24, 1958. She is survived by four children, Martha Haggerty and her husband, Don, of Madison, Wis., Clifford Longley and his wife, Linda, of Westminster, Md., Christopher Longley of LaCrosse, Wis., and Galen Longley of Sacramento, Calif.; and her sister, Vivian Long of Caribou. She was the grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of one. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald, Oct. 4, 2008; and her brother, Galen H. Hitchcock, Oct. 18, 1969.
