EDDINGTON – Theresa A. Pelkey, 79, loving, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 15, 2010, at a Bangor hospital with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 15, 1931, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, daughter of Frank and Margaret (Lavoie) Godreau. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3177. Theresa was employed at Westgate Manor for 18 years. She enjoyed playing bingo at Bangor House and going out to eat with “The Girls.” Theresa loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Gary Sr. and Robert; a grandson, Gary Jr.; a granddaughter, Holly Pelkey; several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Alfred Pelkey and his wife, Cheryl, of Georgia, Donna Boudreau and her husband, Roger, of Eddington, Terry Pelkey and his wife, Flo, of Glenburn, Valerie Fleming of Bangor, Bonnie Wilson and her husband, Bubba, of Holden, Bruce Pelkey and his wife, Adrienne, of Bradford, Willa Pelkey of Levant, and Raymond Pelkey and his wife, Lisa, of Eddington; 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites folks for refreshments 4 p.m. Monday at Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club, Holden.
