EAST CORINTH – Bonnie Mae Cox was called home to God Sept. 15, 2010, at her daughter’s home. Bonnie was born Jan. 20, 1949, daughter of Joan (Rodman) Cox Ames. She is survived by her sons, Timothy Foxworth of Phoenix and Eugene Shawn and his wife, Rosalie (Thompson) Cox, of Bangor; her daughter, Tracy (Cox) Hichborn Williams of East Corinth; her three brothers, Douglas, Robert and Herbert Cox; and two sisters, Genie (Cox) Leavell and Cynthia Cox. In addition to her children and siblings, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Shawn Robert Cox, Alyssa Beth Hichborn, Zachery Delano Hichborn and Ashton Wayne Bowman; great-grandson, Elijah Jayden D. Layton; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be fondly remembered by friends, Mary Badger and John Branscombe. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by one granddaughter, Tessa Ann Marie Rolfe; and her beloved grandmother, Genie (Page) Rodman Rooks. At Bonnie’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service, as she is in heaven in the arms of her loved ones, holding her precious granddaughter, singing and dancing with the angels and blowing down butterfly kisses to those she leaves behind for now. Bonnie’s ashes will be scattered upon the sea at Kelley’s Cove, Bayside.
