MILLINOCKET, Maine — Nine residents will be on the ballot in the November elections seeking seats on the Town Council and Millinocket School Committee, Town Manager Eugene Conlogue said Tuesday.
As of 5 p.m. Friday, the closing of the time allotted for ballot placement, Richard Angotti Jr., Bryant Davis and John DiCentes had returned petitions indicating their intention to run for the two three-year council seats that will be open, Conlogue said.
Incumbent Councilor David Cyr, meanwhile, returned papers indicating that he is seeking a one-year term.
For the school committee, Eric Buckingham Jr., Donald Dow Jr., Shelley Farrington, Michael Jewers and Gilda Stratton will seek the two three-year seats up for grabs.
Allan Ayotte had taken out papers for the one-year council seat but did not return them, Conlogue said.
Town Clerk Roxanne Johnson verified that the paperwork had conformed with state election law on Monday.
