HOULTON – Karen Bither, 68, died Sept. 22, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 19, 1942, in Houlton, the daughter of Harold and Mary “Maisie” (Wilkins) Bither. Karen was employed with the Department of Civil Defense and many years at Ivey’s Motor Lodge & Restaurant. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and will be sadly missed by her many friends at Ricker Plaza. Karen is survived by her brother, Jon Bither and his wife, Cliasta, of Houlton; grandson, Shane Bither and his mother, Robin Dobbins; four nieces, Kristi Sirois and her husband, Travis, Stacy Henderson and her husband, Otis, Kate and Rebecca Bither, all of Houlton; six great-nieces and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Sean Bither; sister, Lynn Morris; and nephew, Brent Knapp. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Dunn Funeral Home, where friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service.
