CHERRYFIELD – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicholas Michael Rizzitano, Sept. 24, 2010. Nicholas was born June 13, 1929, in Concord, Mass., one of 18 children born to Antonio Rizzitano and Suzanne (Donato) Rizzitano. Nicholas worked for Raytheon for 36 years and retired to Cherryfield in 1992. He was an avid hunter, gardener and wine maker, and best known for his infectious smile and kind heart. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma; his sons, Anthony, Nicholas and John; his two daughters, Suzanne and Margaret; eight grandchildren, Lisa, Larry, Michael, Ariana, Randy, Tomas, Marty and Jacob; as well as his great-grandchild, Sam. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at St. Michael’s Church, Cherryfield.
