LINCOLN – Russell Franklin Smart, 81, husband of Joanne Chase, passed away Sept. 23, 2010, at a Lincoln health care facility. He was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Passadumkeag, the son of Manson and Florence (Harriman) Smart. Russell was owner of A & S Motors, Lincoln, for several years. He was a member of the Masons and Shrine. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife, Joanne, he is survived by three sons, Alan, Gary and David; three stepchildren, Bruce Bowden Jr., Deborah Morang and Daren Bowden; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and a sister, Charles, Howard, Clarence, Albion and Evelyn. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag.
