PEORIA, Ariz. – Kathleen Steele and Andrew J. Stevens of Peoria are happy to announce their engagement. Kathleen is the daughter of Sharon Erskine of Dixmont, Maine, and the late Robert D. Steele of Troy, Maine. Andrew is the son of Kim J. Stevens and Deborah K. Stevens of Peoria. Kathleen graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Maine, and the University of Maine in Orono with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication disorders and a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She independently contracts with health care recruiting agencies as a speech therapist and is currently on assignment at a pediatric clinic in Harlingen, Texas. Andrew graduated from Excel High School in Minneapolis. He independently contracts as a webmaster and owns blogcreation.org. He is also on staff for his family’s online aviation journals, the State Aviation Journal and Arizona Aviation Journal. Kate and Andy met through their church’s young adults social at a Starbucks in Glendale. They will be married on Oct. 1, 2010, at the Asticou Inn in Northeast Harbor, Maine, with the groom’s father, Kim Stevens, officiating.
