BANGOR – Donna Lucilla Sanders, 77, wife of the late Doyle G. Sanders, died peacefully Sept. 26, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at her home after a brief illness. She was born April 28, 1933, in Holden, daughter of Albert J. and Margaret Lucilla (Berry) Cammack. Donna retired from Bangor Mental Health Institute after 20 years of service. Surviving are six children, Linda Davis of Hermon, Gail Spellman and her husband, David, of Eddington, Robert Sanders and his partner, Martha Getchell, of Bangor, Nancy Cefalo and her husband, Greg, of Simpsonville, S.C., Doyle Sanders Jr. of Bangor, and Roger Sanders of Auburn; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marlene Ellingwood, Janetta Lowder and Susan Cammack; two brothers, Gary Cammack and Michael Cammack, all of Holden; several nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to her husband, Doyle, she was predeceased by a foster daughter, Kathy Magee; two brothers, Donald and Sonny Cammack; and one sister, Paula Crawford. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
