LIMESTONE and MAPLETON – Robert S. Littlefield, 61, passed away Sept. 26, 2010, at his residence in Limestone. He was born July 25, 1949, in Presque Isle, the son of Lawrence and Nettie (Pendexter) Littlefield. Robert grew up in Mapleton and attended Presque Isle schools. He served his country during Vietnam as a U.S. Marine from 1969 to 1970. Robert worked at many jobs including, Converse Shoe and Georgia Pacific. In his spare time he enjoyed reading authors, such as Louis L’ Amour and James Patterson. He was a member of High Street Baptist Church, Limestone. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Alice (Hughes) Littlefield; four children, Kimberly Kenney of Houlton, Scott Kenney of Presque Isle, Rachel and Stacey Littlefield, both of Connecticut; three stepsons, Sheldon Keiser and his wife, Heather, of Presque Isle, Corey Keiser and his wife, Jennifer, of Presque Isle, and Reggie Keiser and his wife, Dani, of Fort Fairfield; and seven grandchildren, Tyler, Spencer, Dawson, Josh, Abbie, Landon and Houston. He also leaves behind a brother, Steven Littlefield and his wife, Marilynne, of Hermon; three sisters, Winnie Ireland and her husband, Dana, of Mapleton, Linda Carmichael and her husband, Mickey, of Houlton, and Carolyn Kenney of Bangor; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at High Street Baptist Church, Limestone, with Pastor Charlie Campbell officiating.
