MILLINOCKET – Our angel mother, Alice Mary Cote, has gone peacefully to be with her saving Lord Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at a Millinocket hospital. Alice was born March 6, 1914, in East Hartford, Conn., daughter of Amederique and Adeline (Dube) Tremblay, formerly of Blue River, Canada. Alice was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, Millinocket. She enjoyed homemaking, gardening, and spending time with family and all her children and grandchildren. Alice had 14 siblings and 11 children, nine of whom are still living, who will miss her and all the delicious meals she made. Alice leaves behind her children, Donethia Carder of Orlando, Fla., Doris Achorn of Millinocket, Sandra Davis of Pennsylvania, Walter Cote Jr. and his wife, Ellen, of Lincoln, Theresa Bona of Millinocket, Amederic Cote and his wife, Kathy, of Millinocket, Roderick of Millinocket, Madeline Hartley and her husband, Clint, of Millinocket, and Edward Cote and his wife, Kathy, of Longwood, Fla.; two brothers, two sisters, 27 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Cote Sr., in 1996; two sons, Walter Cote Jr. and Maurice Cote; three sons-in-law, George Carder, Jay Achorn and Richard Bona; a granddaughter, Tammy Jane Cote; four sisters and six brothers. Friends are invited to visit with the family 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at St. Martin of Tours Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, presider. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Alice may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
