CARY PLANTATION – Allen James Oliver, 72, died Oct. 7, 2010, at his residence. He was born Oct. 28, 1938, in Cary Plantation, the son of Clarence and Beryl (Knapp) Oliver. Allen was a lifelong resident of Cary Plantation, where he attended schools and worked. He is survived by his sisters, Joan Oliver Carrier and her husband, Robert, and Joyce Oliver Botting and her husband, Charles; sister-in-law, Jillian Joy Oliver; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Clarence Jr., Urieal and Richard Oliver. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Amity Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
