GUILFORD – Beth Leavitt of Guilford is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter Maris Leavitt to Larry Drake, both of Akron, Ohio. Larry is the son of Larry Drake of Columbus, Ohio, and Deborah Drake of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Maris graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford in 1996; Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications; and earned a juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law in Akron, Ohio, in 2003. She is the probate coordinator at Kelley & Ferraro, LLP in Cleveland. Larry graduated from Groveport-Madison High School in Groveport, Ohio, in 1999 and Miami University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health and sports studies. He is a qualified mental health specialist at Blick Clinic, Inc. in Akron, Ohio, and the boys junior varsity basketball coach at Cloverleaf High School in Lodi, Ohio. Maris and Larry are planning a July 2, 2011, wedding at Woodland United Methodist Church in Akron, Ohio, with the Rev. Debbie Gibbons officiating, and a reception at The Tangier in Akron, Ohio.
