OLD TOWN and SEBOEIS – Annette G. Dugans, 80, passed away Oct. 10, 2010. She was born Jan. 29, 1930, daughter of Cecil and Mildred (Holden) Godfrey. Annette grew up in Old Town and graduated from Old Town High School in 1948. After high school she moved to Seboeis, and that’s where she raised her family, before moving back to Old Town. Music was the joy of Annette’s life next to her children. She was a music teacher in Howland, SAD 31, the organist and choir director at both Howland and Old Town United Methodist churches, and she accompanied several local choral groups. She was the past matron of Doric Chapter No. 122 LaGrange, Order of the Eastern Star. Annette is survived by her six children, Sandra Burke and her husband, Peter, Kristine Prada and her husband, Alden, Kate Stein and her husband, Milton, Ruth Dugans, John Dugans and his wife, Rozzy, and Barbara Raymond; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard Godfrey and his wife, Betty; her sister, Pat Cyr; her sister-in-law, Thelma Lee and her husband, Bud; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Annette was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond “Dick” Dugans; her sister, Marilyn Hyde; her sister-in-law, Velma Walker; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Cyr and Hal Hyde. Family and friends are invited to call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Old Town United Methodist Church, 744 Stillwater Ave., Old Town, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Joan DeSanctis officiating. Everyone is invited to a light luncheon immediately after the service at the parish hall. Afterward, interment will be at Seboeis Cemetery, Seboeis.
