EDDINGTON – Annette Marie Oxley, 74, wife of Edward E. Oxley, passed away Oct. 14, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born July 26, 1936, in Frederickton, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Wilmont and Madeline (Chase) Kelley. Annette grew up in St. John, New Brunswick, where she lived for more than 20 years before moving to the U.S. She worked as a personal lines insurance agent for many years until she met Ed, and became a stay-at-home mother to her daughter, Lisa, and Ed’s son, Josh. Annette enjoyed music, dancing, traveling and for many years enjoyed winters in Florida. Annette’s sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ed Oxley of Eddington; daughter, Lisa Hall and husband, Tim, of Winterport; Josh Oxley and wife, Ning, of Monroe; Steve Oxley and wife, Sylvia, of Carmel; Alan Oxley of Bangor; Bonnie Small of Dedham; Katherine Goodine of Bangor; one sister, June Gunter of St. John, New Brunswick; one brother, Jack Kelley and wife, Elaine, of St. John, New Brunswick; one aunt, Doris Currier of Lincoln; one uncle, David Chase of Lincoln; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A family committal will be held noon Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Jonathan Eddy Cemetery, Eddington. After the committal everyone is invited to a celebration of Annette’s life 1 p.m. at Hampden Snowmobile Club, 844 Western Ave., Hampden.
