MEDWAY – Norma O. Tedford, 86, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Stacyville, the daughter of Marvin and Georgie (McGrath) Allen. Norma was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be remembered by many for her cooking abilities at several area restaurants throughout the years. Norma is survived by seven children, Patricia Ammons and her husband, Richard, of Shelton, Wash., Gail Trueworthy and her husband, David, Gloria Dow and her husband, James, Brian Tedford, Richard Tedford, Ronald Tedford and his wife, Lynda, and Joseph Tedford and his wife, Diane, all of Medway; a son-in-law, Bruce Killam of Tewksbury, Mass.; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Allen Tedford; a daughter, Roberta Moran; a grandson, Bobby John Trueworthy; two brothers, Floyd and Lester Allen; and five sisters, Hepsi Adams, Hazel Langley, Leola Hayes, Mildred Carter and Marion Brackett. Friends are invited to visit with the family 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will be 3 p.m. Interment will be at Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway.
