NAUGATUCK, Conn. – Timothy C. Eye Sr., 53, entered into rest Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, surrounded by his loving wife, Deborah Scollin Eye; his sons, family, friends and his beloved dog, Lily, who never left his side, at his home. Tim was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Lincoln, the devoted son of Marilyn Wood Eye and her companion, Phil Grant, of Maine, and the late Charles Eye. He was a retired lead man for the former Martin Marietta Corp., where he was employed for more than 29 years. He later followed his passion in woodworking and carpentry. He was an avid camper, enjoyed riding his Harley and loved to shoot pool, playing in many local leagues. He is the beloved father of Timothy C. Eye Jr., Amanda Karpenko, Charles Eye and Kimberly Scollin; and the dedicated grandfather to Jacob, Madison and Gabriella Karpenko, Joseph Lydem, and Kyle and Sabrena Eye. He also leaves a mother-in-law, Maureen McElroy and a father-in-law, Richard Scollin; and his wife, Mary, in addition to many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends greeted his family Tuesday at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, Conn., where a funeral service was held 10 a.m. Wednesday.
