BANGOR — Police are looking for a man they believe assaulted another man with a chemical spray on Wednesday in the parking lot of a Union Street business.
Bangor Officer Michael Brennan responded to a call that a man had been assaulted in the parking area of Rite Aid.
The victim and several witnesses said a black Chevy Cavalier driven by a blond female pulled into a parking space next to the victim. A male got out of the vehicle and used the chemical spray on the man and a dog that was with him. The suspect then got into the car, which sped away, police said.
Minutes before, the suspect had purchased a pack of Marlboro cigarettes in the store and showed a military identification that revealed he was born in June 1985.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect in this crime is urged to call Officer Brennan at 947-7382, ext. 95756, or ext. 6 to leave an anonymous message.
