FORT KENT – Yvon Theriault Sr., 91, died peacefully Oct. 21, 2010, surrounded by his family at a Frenchville health care facility. He was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Fort Kent, the son of Denis and Josephine (Voisine) Theriault. Yvon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting and had a passion for horses. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by five children, Yvon Jr. and wife, Linda Theriault, of Satsuma, Fla., Helden and wife, Ginette Theriault, of Fort Kent, Patsy and husband, Doran Bouchard, of Naples, Fla., Judy and husband, Bob Newman, of Satsuma, Fla., and Dale Theriault of Fort Kent; eight grandchildren, Scott, Michelle, Keith, Cheryl, Ellis, Lori, Chris and Nicole; 12 great-grandchildren, Ryan, McKenzie, Hannah, Preston, Kyle, Zachary, Jordan, Deeanna, Colin, Doran, Houston and Cooper; three sisters, Sadie Levesque, Mamie Theriault, both of Fort Kent, and Izy Thibodeau of St. Francis; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Isabelle (Levesque) Theriault, April 5, 2007; his daughter, Rita Theriault; granddaughter, Susan Gorton; and five sisters, Mandy Charette, Evelyn Theriault, Delia Pelletier, Theresa Lavoie and Laura Conley. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal service will be after at the parish cemetery. Those who wish may donate in Yvon’s memory to Edgar J. “Guy” Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 E. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
