VAN BUREN and BLAINE – Michael and Donna Smith of Van Buren, and David and Kathy Walsh of Blaine are excited and overjoyed to announce the engagement of their children Myka Smith and Patrick Walsh, both of Presque Isle. Myka is a 2008 graduate of Van Buren High School and a 2010 graduate of Empire Beauty School in Caribou. She is employed at Nikki’s Hair Loft in Caribou. Patrick is a 2004 graduate of Central Aroostook High School in Mars Hill and a 2006 graduate of Northern Maine Driving Academy in Presque Isle, where he obtained his commercial driver’s license. He is employed at Aroostook Foods in Caribou. The couple is planning a Sept. 10, 2011, wedding at St. Peter’s Chanel Parish in Van Buren with Father David Cote officiating. A reception will be held at the American Legion in Van Buren.
