HAMPDEN – Victoria J. Beals, 39, passed away peacefully Oct. 22, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Victoria was born April 17, 1971, in Fairfax County, Va., to Joseph D. Maul and Sharon L. (Trout) Freer. Victoria grew up and graduated high school in New Jersey. She then started her studies as a social worker. She earned her undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University and her graduate degree from Murray State University. Victoria not only enjoyed her work as a case manager at the Shaw House, but took great pride and had a passion for helping adolescents. Family meant everything to Victoria. She was an excellent wife and mother, who loved to follow her children’s sports and activities or just spend quality time as a family. Victoria will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to all. Victoria is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Michael E. Beals of Hampden; children, Dakota Kolyer, James Kolyer Jr., Samantha Kolyer and Matthew Beals, all of Hampden; her mother, Sharon L. Freer; and a sister Theresa Maul of Glenn Lyon, Pa. Victoria was predeceased by her father, Joseph D. Maul. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, with the Rev. Dr. James L.
