MILLINOCKET, Maine — A local woman is due in Lincoln District Court on Nov. 3 after officers who were arresting her then-boyfriend after he allegedly threatened her heard allegations from him that she had burglarized a town residence, police said Tuesday.
Tina Deschane, 20, was charged with burglary on Sept. 5, and Adam Deveau, 28, was indicted by a Penobscot County grand jury on Sept. 30 on charges of criminal threatening and domestic violence criminal threatening.
Police said they were called to a Penobscot Avenue apartment in early September by Deschane, who said Deveau had pointed a handgun at her during a confrontation.
As police were taking Deveau to Millinocket Regional Hospital for evaluation, Deveau alleged that Deschane had burglarized a Westwood Avenue residence in August. Police said Deschane later signed a confession admitting to the burglary.
