HOULTON – Larry McClure, 55, died Nov. 2, 2010, in Bangor. He was born April 11, 1955, in Old Town, son of Roland Sr. and Irma (Adams) McClure. Larry was a maintenance technician at Smith and Wesson for 19 1/2 years, where he was known as MacGyver or Mr. Fix-it. He loved fishing, hunting, trapping, skeet shooting, wood carving, camp, drawing and hanging out with his brothers. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michelle (Briggs) McClure of Houlton; nine children, Ashlee, Katelynn and Kaycee, all of Houlton, Tawnya Worcester and her friend, Theron Ham, Amanda LaBelle and her husband, Jamie, of Corinth, Anthony Spencer of Windsor Locks, Conn., Ty Ewer of Orono, Eric Moulton of Kenduskeag and Shawn Moulton of Hermon; five grandchildren, Tyler, Mariah, Jordan, Makayla and Michael; one great-grandson, Riley; siblings, Betty Simpson and her husband, Leo, of Bedford, Va., Carole Perkins and her husband, Philip, of Hampden, Bill McClure and his wife, Clarice, of Brewer, Wendy Hall and her husband, Bob, of Old Town, Tammy Cunningham and her husband, Larry, of Corinth and Roland McClure Jr. and his girlfriend, Synette, of Kenduskeag; several nieces, nephews and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Gerald, Harold, Richard and Willa Poston; and mother-in-law, Rosella Briggs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating.
