YORK, Maine — A 50-year-old Maine man is in critical condition after the car he was driving hit a moose on the Maine turnpike in the town of York.
Police say the moose went through the windshield of the car driven by 50-year-old Keith Hanson of Sabbatus at about 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Portsmouth Herald says Hanson was later airlifted to the Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Hanson’s wife and 7-year-old daughter were in the car, but were not seriously injured in the crash.
