CARIBOU – Alda M. Holder, 81, wife of the late Karl K. Holder, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 18, 2010, at a Caribou health care facility after an extended illness. She was born July 22, 1929, in Presque Isle, daughter of Fred and Pearl (Carter) McCormack. She was a graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1947, and married Karl K. Holder, March 24, 1951. In addition to her parents, Alda was predeceased by her husband, Karl, July 17, 2008. She is survived by one son, Eugene Holder of Charleston, W.Va.; two brothers, Fred McCormack of Auburn and Philip McCormack of Plymouth, Mass.; one sister, Nora Tompkins of Woodbury, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Holder to Carl Robert Dream Foundation, 304 North Caribou Road, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Arrangements have been entrusted to Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. <>
