WESTBROOK, Maine — A Maine business judge has approved an agreement that would allow Pike Industries to mine rock from a quarry in Westbrook’s Five Star Industrial Park.
The Monday decision by Maine Business Court Justice Thomas Humphrey includes a number of conditions, such as the planting of a vegetative buffer to keep dust from escaping the quarry.
The decision could end a dispute involving the city of Westbrook, Pike Industries and Idexx Laboratories.
The case could still be appealed to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
