MERRILL – Althea Lee, 88, died Nov. 23, 2010, in Houlton. She was born April 14, 1922, in Houlton, the daughter of Guy Sr. and Alma (Clark) Crandall. She retired from Houlton Regional Hospital after 30 years of service. She is survived by her four children, Elaine George and her husband, Alva, of Oakfield, Patsy Schlott of Alverton, Pa., Linda Hightower and her husband, John, of Stuttgart, Ark., and Jasper Lee and his wife, Pat, of Old Town; 30 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Guy “Joe” Crandall Jr. of Oakfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; one son, Verne; five brothers; and one sister. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Andy Harthorne officiating.
