MADAWASKA – David L. Daigle Sr., 58, passed away Nov. 27, 2010, at his residence. He was born April 25, 1952, in Van Buren, the son of Leo James and Rella (Caron) Daigle. After serving 20 years in the U.S. Army, Dave returned home and worked as a truck driver for various businesses in the area. Being the jack-of-all-trades that he was, he enjoyed volunteering his time for various causes. He was a member of American Legion and American Legion Riders Post No. 147, Madawaska. He was also a member of Madawaska Snowmobile Club. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Diane (Deschenes) Daigle of Madawaska; his mother, Rella Daigle of Madawaska; two daughters, Jessica Daigle and her husband, Eldon, of Madawaska and Jennifer Daigle of Madawaska; one son, David Daigle Jr. and his companion, Sarah Michaud, of Madawaska; six grandchildren, Kurtis, Cassandra, Dakota, Logan, Jaidon and Kody; one sister, Kathleen Cyr and her husband, Paul, of Madawaska; and one brother, Glenn Daigle and his wife, Dianne, of Madawaska. He was predeceased by his father, Leo James “June” Daigle, in 2002. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
