FORT KENT – Maria Caron, 88, passed away Nov. 29, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born Jan. 3, 1922, in St. Anne de Madawaska, New Brunswick, daughter of the late George and Alice Pelletier. Maria was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. She enjoyed cooking, baking and knitting. Being the rock of her family, she always had good advice to give. She truly adored spending time with them. She is survived by five daughters, Claudette Lozier and her husband, Delsay, of Fort Kent, Jeannine Ouellette and her husband, Adelard, of Clair, New Brunswick, Bernadette Boucher and her husband, Gataen, of St. Francois, New Brunswick, Noella Nadeau and her companion, Claire Morris, also of St. Francois, New Brunswick, and Rita Glass and her husband, Denney, of Arizona; four sons, Claude Caron and his wife, Nicole, George Caron and his wife, Nancy, Reno Caron and his wife, Brenda, and Lorenzo Caron and his wife, Jeannine, all of Fort Kent; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Caron; and all of her brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at Daigle Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maria’s memory may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
