MONTICELLO – Arnold James Good, 89, died Nov. 27, 2010, at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Monticello, son of James B. and Ivy (Garrison) Good. Arnold was a well-known, lifelong “county farmer,” a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a member of Monticello Community Wesleyan Church, Kiwanis Club and Mars Hill Country Club. He was an avid snowmobiler for many years, enjoying sled trips with his many friends and family. Arnold’s character spoke for itself in everything he did, a true gentleman. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Marion, in September. He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Good Watson and her husband, Oral, of Monticello; two grandchildren, James Watson and his wife, Erin, of Littleton, and Kathryn Watson of Houlton; and great-grandson, Jacob Watson of Littleton. Arnold will be sadly missed by his family and his pals at Monticello Country Store. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Dunn Funeral Home, where friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Monticello Village Cemetery.
