CARIBOU – Irene A. Jalbert, 74, wife of the late Ronald Jalbert Sr., died Nov. 30, 2010, in Caribou. She was born Sept. 8, 1936, in Hamlin, daughter of the late Joseph and Julie Lavoie. Mrs. Jalbert was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was also a member of Lister Knowlton Post 9389 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Irene was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to play bingo, especially with her good friend and bingo partner, Gladys Huey. She is survived by one son, Dennis Jalbert of Caribou; six daughters and three sons-in-law, Susan and Bob Dennis of Manchester, N.H., Linda and Don Ulrich of Staunton, Ill., Betty and Brian Cunningham of Farmington, Conn., Barbara Jalbert of Fort Fairfield, Theresa Jalbert and Kim Jalbert, both of Caribou; one brother, Adrian Lavoie of New Britain, Conn.; 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jalbert was predeceased by her husband, Ronald, Nov. 28, 1993; and a son, Ronald Jr. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, where services will begin 1 p.m. with Father Jean Paul Labrie officiating.
