MEDFORD, Maine — Evidence was collected for a rape case when the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant late Friday afternoon at a Medford residence.
The rape case arose out of a party earlier this month and involved a teenage girl, Lt. Robert Young of the Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday. The girl, who knew her alleged attacker, sought treatment at a local hospital after the incident, he said.
The evidence seized will be taken to the Maine State Police Crime Laboratory for analysis, according to Young.
