SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — More National Guard soldiers from Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine are home after a nine-month mission in Afghanistan.
The soldiers from the three states served together as part of the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, led by the Vermont National Guard.
A chartered plane Thursday returned 98 soldiers to Vermont, 67 to Maine and 69 to New Hampshire.
About 3,000 soldiers served in the brigade from a number of states.
All are due home by the end of the month.
