ORONO and CAPE NEDDICK – Gini Hall Parks passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Bangor. During her childhood she spent many months living at the Isles of Shoals while her father fished for lobster. The islands have remained dear to her throughout her life. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and went on to work at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and for the U.S. Postal Service. Gini enjoyed many hobbies and interests including square and round dancing, golf, bowling, music and sewing. Gini is survived by her daughter, Janice Rand of Bangor; granddaughter, Holly Rand of Bangor; sister, Barbara MacDonald of Greenland; many wonderful nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
