CORINTH – Clyde R. Mitchell Sr., 75, husband of Loretta M. (Tate) Mitchell, died unexpectedly, Dec. 9, 2010, at a Belfast hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1935, in Massachusetts, the son of Clyde and Verna B. (Hazelton) Mitchell Sr. Clyde worked as a fisherman for many years, as well as a mason tender. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. Surviving in addition to his wife of Corinth are five children, James Mitchell and his wife, Maryann, of Massachusetts, Raymond Mitchell, Wayne Mitchell, Susan Harvey and her husband, William, and Clyde Mitchell III, all of Belfast; eight stepchildren, Trudy McCullough, Loretta Keeizer and her husband, Walter, Lewis Young and his wife, Tammy, all of Bangor, Michael Young and his wife, Ann, of Ellsworth, Darlene Gifford of Cardville, Bruce Gray of Bangor, Chester Gray III and his wife, Ava, of Corinth and Aaron Gray of Bangor; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beatrice Geary and Gloria Matthew.
