DOVER-FOXCROFT – Carolyn A. Green, 83, wife of the late Gerald “Herb” H. Green, died Dec. 11, 2010, at Mayo Regional Hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Guy and Mildred (Pratt) Wiley. Throughout her life, Carolyn had worked as a telephone operator, at the Blethen House and Hathaway Shirt Co. She loved to skidoo and “burn dogs” in the winter. She was a member of Eastern Star and volunteered at Mayo Regional Hospital. Carolyn loved her great-grandchildren and her cats. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Patten and her husband, Ronald, of Dover-Foxcroft; her grandchildren, Laura-Jean McMahon and her husband, Richard, of Glenburn and Jaime Lovejoy and her husband, Steven, of Dover-Foxcroft; two great-grandchildren, Logun and Allison McMahon; three brothers, Robert Wiley of Florida, Clifford Wiley of Dover-Foxcroft and Earl Wiley of Dover-Foxcroft; a stepson, Kenneth Green of Arizona; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Kathryn Green and Marie Doore; and a brother, Clair Wiley. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Lary Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating.
