JONESPORT – Marion M. Smith, 99, passed away peacefully Dec. 12, 2010, at Sunrise Care Facility, Jonesport. She was the daughter of Newman and Georgia Rogers Wilson. She was married to Lawrence Smith for 62 years. She devoted her life to her family, friends and church. Marion enjoyed volunteering her time at Resthaven Nursing Home and Community of Christ Church, Jonesport, and especially looked forward to blueberring in August. Marion is survived by her daughter, Joyce Sinford and husband, Paul, of Hancock; and two grandchildren, Nicole Henkel and husband, Scott, of Hancock, and Gerald Sinford and wife, Stacie, and two great-grandchildren, Khristi and Samantha Sinford, of Ellsworth. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, William Wilson; and sisters, Pauline Gray and Laverne Bates. Additionally, Marion’s family thanks the staff of Sunrise Care Facility for the kind and compassionate care they provided. Graveside services will be held in the spring.
