EAGLE LAKE – Yvonne Marquis, 92, died peacefully Dec. 16, 2010, surrounded by her family at an Eagle Lake health care facility. Yvonne was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Philias and Sophie (Michaud) Saucier. She was a member of Ladies of St. Anne and Catholic Order of Foresters, both of Eagle Lake. She had a passion and love for dancing. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by seven sons, Edmond of Wallagrass, Philip, Leo Paul and Leonide, all of Eagle Lake, Edgar of Bristol, Conn., Norman of Auburn and Armand of California; four daughters, Rolande Pelletier of Eagle Lake, Anita Frenette of Lewiston, Shirley Bouchard of Fort Kent and Judy Carrier of Massachusetts; two sisters, Anita Doustou and Jeanette Doustou, both of Presque Isle; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alsime Marquis, in 1980; 11 siblings and one grandson. Friends may call 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Spring burial will be held May 16, 2011, in the parish cemetery.
