SANGERVILLE – Gloria A. Archibald left on the wings of angels Dec. 16, 2010, as she completed her earthly journey. She always was upbeat and happy, never letting the cancer hold her down. Born Oct. 11, 1944, to Walter and Bernice (Kuzmar) Twarog, she grew up in Salem, Mass. She was a 1962 graduate of Salem High School, and married Bob Archibald in 1968. They moved to Ipswich, Mass., where they resided and raised their great children for more than 25 years. Gloria leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, Bob; her son, Keith and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Connor and Emily, all of Kennebunk; a daughter and best friend, Shannon of Haverhill, Mass.; a sister, Lucia Copelas of Beverly, Mass.; and nephews, Chad and Jeff Copelas and their families. She will be remembered by her two four-legged boys, Zuni Bear and Thumpa, who always put a smile on her face with their antics. She also leaves many relatives and friends here and in Massachusetts. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot at Jackman Corner Cemetery.
